Marie-Pierre was born in Cannes, France and moved to New York at the age of 19 to pursue her ambition of becoming a stylist, a US citizen and to start living the American dream. After two years in Manhattan she decided that San Francisco would be her next destination. She enrolled in cosmetology school, graduated from the program and passed her state board.
Marie-Pierre’s extensive background ranges in precision cutting, hair coloring, bridal hair design and professional makeup. She has trained at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California, as well as with Martin Parson, a world famous long hair master. She has also studied with Debra Macki, celebrity makeup artist, and has completed her advanced professional techniques makeup course. Her makeup training includes MAC and Temptu airbrushed applications. Marie-Pierre is also certified with Great Hair Lengths Extensions.
Shortly after moving to Key West, she decided to make the Island her home and created Studio Marie-Pierre. She lives here with her husband, Michael, and two young daughters. As a stylist, she began working with brides all over the Key West and became, with her wonderful team, a preferred vendor for resorts such as the Westin, Casa Marina, Hyatt, Ocean Key Resort, and the Southernmost Mansion – just to name a few. When it comes to hair and makeup, Marie-Pierre is known for her ability to give her brides a ‘Red Carpet’ look that will last through heat and humidity. We live to style!
