There’s nothing like a quintessential beach-themed wedding, especially when you’re getting married in Key West. This adorable couple, Jessica and Jack, celebrated their Key West wedding with the prettiest details to channel the beauty of our gorgeous coast.
Styling the Bride
The beautiful bride Jessica wore her hair styled in a deconstructed braid. The Studio Marie-Pierre hair stylist Alicia did her styling and explains how she did it: “I first backcombed the base of her hair before setting it in hot rollers. Once the hair was completely cooled and set, I brushed out the curls and started a loose, fishtail braid, leaving out random strands all around. After the braid was done, I then took strands that weren’t incorporated into the braid and pinned or looped them into place.” The result was a stunning style that managed to be both casual and elegant at once with her regal wedding gown.
Galina, the Studio Marie-Pierre makeup artist who got Jessica ready for her big day, shares her tips and tricks for creating that bold, dramatic look that the bride wanted. She added black eyeliner all around the eyes and created a strong, smoky eye with individual false eyelashes to really make the whole look pop! She finished off the look with a gorgeous red lip.
The Wedding Itself
Whether you’re getting married in Key West or you’re trying to create a gorgeous beach wedding palette inland, Jessica and Jack’s theme is one to inspire you. Even if you can’t access the gorgeous swimming pool of Southernmost House or the beach front of Key West, simple details can create that beach theme. Some of my favorites are the tropical flowers in Jessica’s hair, the tan beachy suits worn by the groom, and the ocean blue and coral details in the flowers and Jack’s tie.
