KRISTEN & BLAKE Destination Wedding in Key West

It’s no secret that I just love weddings—after all, I made them my life! Recently I had the pleasure of assisting with Kristen and Blake’s destination wedding in Key West and it was an incredible event. I enjoyed my time working with Kristen: this bride is the absolute definition of “chic.” She was just amazing to work with and the results were exquisite.

Kristen was looking for this “Red Carpet glamor” look for her wedding day, and with her perfect cheekbones, gorgeous ey shape and full lip it was so easy to achieve. She wanted to wear her hair down, so I started the process by setting it in pin curls and letting it dry. Once finished I brushed it out to give it that stunning celebrity look.

For Kristen’s makeup, we opted for strong definition around the eyes—which means false eyelashes are a must!—to make her gorgeous eyes pop. We kept her lips natural but went for contouring and highlighting on the cheeks to make those classic cheekbones stand out. Kristen’s features are simply to die for, and her photos are an excellent example of why professional hair and makeup are the perfect way to play up each bride’s best feature and make them jaw-dropping.

Kristen and Blake had their destination Key West wedding at the Casa Marina. This elegant affair, perfectly complemented Kristen’s celebrity look. I love the romantic shots of the two of them on the beach and in the hammock. How lovely!

I have got to give a shout out to Maria Munoz, the photographer for this destination wedding. She is incredibly talented and the pictures of this event are just fabulous. I couldn’t decide which ones to include—I wanted to share them all! She has such a fresh, clean edit that really accentuates the beauty of the bride and the location.
